The momentum of the KAPP continued to grow over the weekend of February 26 and 27 in Long Beach, California. Five hundred people gathered to enjoy an evening of friendship and hope, particularly as its President, Daran Kravanh, shared his positive energy and love for Cambodia. Daran's wife, Bree, also spoke as did Dr. Arvind Singhal, an advisor to the KAPP. The emcees, Kundy Kol and Sophal Chourp provided warmth and sincerity to the audience.
The next day was planned to have Dr. Singhal provide a training to 40 people. However, twice that amount showed up to learn from Dr. Singhal's messages about the transformative power of love. Dr. Singhal is a Professor of Communication at the University of Texas, an expert on social change, and an author of 12 books. Everyone appreciated Dr. Singhal's friendly nature and his willingness to share his knowledge to bring new leadership and hope to Cambodia. Presenting along with Dr. Singhal, was Laurel Felt, an instructor at the University of Southern California. This free training continued the KAPP practice of investing in people and providing them inspiration to help the people of Cambodia.
The weekend was made possible by the tremendous teamwork of a group of men and women who shared their time, money, talents and heart to make the event possible. We hope each of them feels proud for the contributions they made.
